Directions to Ft. Baker
Fort Baker is located at the north tower of the Golden Gate Bridge in Marin County.
From San Francisco:
- Take 101 north across the Golden Gate Bridge and exit at Alexander Avenue (first exit after crossing the Bridge)
- Stay to your right and merge onto Alexander Avenue in the direction of Sausalito
- Almost immediately after merging onto Alexander Avenue, take the first left. Signs will point to the US Coast Guard and the Bay Area Discovery Museum
- Take the first right hand turn just before the tunnel to the Marin Headlands
- Continue to down into Fort Baker to a dead end and turn right
- Continue to the next stop sign and go straight toward the waterfront
- Just past the long storage building on the left make the first left turn.
- Continue along the waterfront past the US Coast Guard building to the Presidio Yacht Club (PYC) building in from of you.
From Marin:
- Take 101 south to the Sausalito exit (last one before the bridge
- Take signs to Alexander Avenue, Sausalito
- After going through the underpass (under 101) there will be a stop sign
- Proceed straight through the stop sign and follow the directions above for first left turn off of Alexander Avenue and remaining directions to Fort Baker.
You can park anywhere along the waterfront at the PYC. Walk to the deck in front of the PYC. The entry door will be marked. We will be meeting on the second floor.
